Alex Callens will play in Spain with Taty Castellanos

The hopes of seeing Alex Callena play again for New York City FC are slowly sinking. In fact, it is confirmed that the player is one step away from an agreement with Girona. Callens will then move to Spain and meet up with his old teammate Taty Castellanos.

Callens had negotiated with NYCFC about extending his contract but to no avail. The defender had also been linked to other MLS clubs and Boca, but in the last few hours there has been a clear overtaking by Girona who will probably announce his signing tomorrow.
