New York City FC will get a new home jersey for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, and the first leaked images have surfaced, courtesy of FootyHeadlines. The kit is said to be "inspired by the soaring skyscrapers of New York City," an idea shared in a report about the upcoming jersey back in September.

The design heavily leans on the signature light blue associated with NYCFC—and, of course, their sister club, Manchester City. The jersey features lighter and darker shading to create an abstract visual effect, complemented by white bands running up the sides.

At first glance, the kit doesn’t scream "skyscrapers!" in an obvious way. Instead, it looks like a plain sky-blue jersey with some color variations. However, once the club officially unveils it, there will likely be a detailed explanation connecting the design to New York’s iconic skyline.

That said, these leaks often make it difficult to fully appreciate a kit’s finer details. The true test will be seeing how it looks in person when officially released in February. Fans will have to bid farewell to the Interboro Kit from 2023 and 2024 and welcome this new design—possibly dubbed the "Skyscraper Kit," unless NYCFC’s marketing team comes up with something catchier.

Notably, the new badge that NYCFC revealed in 2024 does not appear on the 2025 home kit. This is reportedly due to production timelines, as the jersey was already in development when the new crest was finalized. The updated badge will instead debut on the 2026 away jersey.

For now, this blue-and-white kit will serve as NYCFC’s primary look for the next two seasons. The black 24/7 Kit from 2024 remains in rotation for 2025 but will be replaced in 2026.

Will this new jersey become a fan favorite, or is it just another predictable design? Only time will tell.
