New York City FC will take on their Hudson River rivals under the Queens lights this weekend, with a spot in the Eastern Conference finals on the line. Citi Field has hosted some memorable moments for the Club, including several key playoff games, including a 3-1 playoff victory over Cincinnati earlier this month.

A top-notch crowd is expected for the historic clash, which will mark the first playoff meeting between the two teams. Cushing is looking forward to another electric atmosphere in Queens.

“It’s a really special place under the lights,” Cushing said.

"We know that as a team we play a huge role in making that night special. When I look back at the playoff game in Miami, the game in Cincinnati and a lot of the games we've played there in front of our fans, it's going to be a packed house.

"We're really proud to have 24, 25,000 of our players there, but we have to do our part to create the atmosphere and deliver a performance, play our way.

"I think if our fans are passionate together and support us from the beginning, and we play our best, I think we have every chance to put in a good performance."
