Gabe Segal is incredulous: "I still don't believe it"

Gabe Segal celebrated in truly unforgettable fashion, scoring his first goal for New York City Football Club and saving a valuable point for the Boys in Blue against Orlando City SC in the closing minutes of the match.

Reflecting on his first goal – the perfect birthday present – the striker couldn't have been happier.

"I haven't processed it yet!" Segal smiled. “But it's definitely an amazing feeling.

“Especially after going through a difficult period, to be able to get a point and contribute to that was great. I saw Talles off the field and knew that more chance than not, he was going to beat the guy over him. I was just thinking of getting past the goal like a striker should do, like a nine should do, and get to the end of the cross".
