Croatian press attacks: 'FIFA wants Messi to win the World Cup'

The Croatian press went on the attack the day after Dalic's team lost to Argentina. Some newspapers, in a more or less veiled way, claim that FIFA is pushing for Lionel Messi to lift the World Cup next Sunday. The fact that the Paris Saint-Germain player was named man of the match (and not Julian Alvarez, who took the penalty and scored 2 times) would prove this, says Sportske Novosti.

Less subtle, however, is Slobodna Dalmacija, who accuses Massimiliano Irrati, the same VAR of the 2018 World Cup final: "He has again taken decisions against Croatia. Just errors of assessment?".
